Slow Cooker Spicy Orange Chicken
A twist on a Chinese takeout favorite, this spicy orange chicken is the perfect combination of sweet and spicy and is easy to make in the slow cooker.

cut into bite-sized pieces

cornstarch

dried chili peppers
add 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes to the sauce if you don't have dried chili peppers

sesame oil

broccoli florets
or one approx. 9.5 oz. bag of steam-in-bag broccoli
Sauce

low sodium soy sauce

tablespoon
rice vinegar

cup
orange marmalade

ground ginger

garlic powder

sesame seeds
Serving Suggestion

white rice
Instructions
Whisk together the sauce ingredients and set aside.
Coat the chicken pieces in cornstarch.
Add 2 tablespoon sesame oil to the slow cooker, followed by the chicken, sauce, and dried chili peppers.
Cook on low for about 2 hours.(Slow cookers vary, so check to confirm it's cooked through before eating.)
Cook the broccoli (saute or steam). Stir broccoli in with chicken and sauce.
If serving with rice, make rice according to package instructions.
